Cagigal has been regaling diverse audiences with his unique hybrid of theatre and “slightly creepy” magic for years at San Francisco’s renowned The EXIT Theatre.

With OBSCURA, Cagigal returns to his roots as an up-close and personal entertainer, melding his favorite short stories with close-up card magic and mentalism. And, all the magic is performed under the eagle eye of a camera! You’ll see every one of Christian’s moves projected large above him so you can’t miss a single thing!  About Christian Cagigal

Named one of the “Ten Future Bay Area Art Icons” by the SF Weekly-Mastermind 2013 and voted Best of the Bay by the San Francisco Bay Guardian, Christian Cagigal has been an actor, writer and magician around the Bay Area for 14 years. A former company member of the world renown political theatre company, The San Francisco Mime Troupe and founding member of the new ensemble company, Precarious Theatre, Cagigal has been performing his unique brand of “slightly creepy” magic and theatre as an Artist in Residence at EXIT Theatre since 2006.

His previous shows “The 13 Steps”, the popular “The Pandora Experiment”, the long running “Obscura,” the secretive happenings of “The Collection” which ran for a marathon of 13 straight nights of shows and the critically acclaimed “Now and at the Hour”(which has been produced in New York, Montréal, Chicago, Berkeley and San Francisco) have played to sold out houses and extended runs. He’s currently working on the performance film of “Now and at the Hour” directed by internationally recognized San Francisco filmmaker H.P. Mendoza.

Christian has consulted for A.C.T.’s MFA program, Crowded Fire Theatre Company, The Jewish Theatre Company, Marin Shakespeare Company, EXIT Theatre DIVAfest and The San Francisco Ghost Hunt Walking Tour  Christian can also be seen displaying his comic-acting-chops in the new indie movie, power pop, musical “Fruit Fly” written and directed by H.P. Mendoza.
