Why Free Art For All?

I believe in free art because I believe in the educational and transformational powers of art. I believe that we all benefit when such experiences, which can cause someone to become better informed and more aware, are available to all. I think we should all be striving toward an informed society, in which all members have access to information and experiences which can inspire and encourage empathy and understanding. I also believe that better and more challenging work can be created without the restraints of commercial interest, so that is my own selfish reason for wanting to work in an environment where the art comes first!

Biography

Kate is an actor, singer, director, teacher, and mother of two. She has worked with a variety of Chicago theatres, including Steppenwolf, Lookingglass, Pegasus, and Open Eye. She is a very proud Barrel of Monkeys company member and is honored to be welcomed into the Oracle fold.
