30 minute puppet show followed by a 10 minute workshop – Puppetry 101

Join us in the center ring and watch a colorful cast of circus characters perform and entertain you with marvelous feats and daring routines! Watch Lance, the cowardly lion, walk the tightrope! Stripes the clown, soar through the air on the flying trapeze!  Joey, the roller skating monkey, zipping around on bananas! We’ve even managed to bring a whole pink elephant with us! The show features a full cast of bright, friendly, fun marionette characters performed by Marc Dunworth, a talented and skilled puppeteer with over a decade of experience.  “Here Comes the Circus!” will charm and delight, captivate and marvel you and your children. You’ll be clapping for more, and leaving the show with memories that will last a lifetime. An all-ages show, “Here Comes the Circus!” is intended for the young and the young at heart.

About The Dunnworth Puppets

With over a decade of experience, Marc Dunworth has had a unique and varied career in the world of puppetry. Born and raised in Chicago, Marc was lucky enough to see his first live puppet show when he was only six years old. He has never been the same since. Growing up with a father as a magician, performing for audiences was a regular part of Marc’s life at an early age. After creating his own degree in puppetry at Columbia College Chicago, he was able to work for companies and theaters locally in Chicago and abroad.  Be it performing in a touring a bi-lingual Spanish puppet show to elementary schools in the Pacific Northwest as a singing turtle, or building large scale costume characters for Walt Disney theme parks and Cirque du Soleil, Marc has done nearly all that one can do in puppetry today. In 2014, Marc founded The Dunworth Puppets, a company dedicated to promote puppetry as both an art form and a marvelous and unique source of entertainment to audiences of all ages. About Oracle B*Sides

Oracle B*Sides is an arts service initiative devoted to giving artists the opportunity to produce their work in Public Access Theatre. Groups of artists submit project proposals for consideration. Once accepted, Oracle provides space, production and fundraising mentorship, and technical resources at no cost to the visiting artists – on one condition: the piece is offered to the community for free through Public Access Theatre. More free art by more artists for more people.
