STEPHANIE POLT: Marketing & Communications Director
Why Public Access Theatre?
I believe that every person has the right to experience and participate in art of all kinds, and that every person deserves to hear their stories told. I believe art should be radical, inclusive, intersectional, challenging, surprising, inspiring, and free. As an organization that supports artists and access to the arts, we must be nimble and responsive to the communities we serve. A lot of theatre artists talk about the uniquely communal quality of live performance. In order to fully embrace our community – and this idea that is so much at the core of theatre – we thought it was important to start removing the barriers that keep people from communing with us. I believe in Art for All.
